About Michael Threadgill

Mr. Threadgill is currently UNDEFEATED as lead counsel at trial, and has secured numerous dismissals, reductions, and other positive outcomes for his clients.  While every case is different, and no particular outcome is ever guaranteed, the criminally accused increase their chances by hiring a tireless and unrelenting fighter like Mr. Threadgill

J. Michael Threadgill’s strong work ethic began during his working-class upbringing in Sherman, a small town in North Texas. The son of a factory worker and homemaker, Michael learned early that hard work was essential to be successful in any endeavor. From working his way through college and law school, to maintaining the highest academic credentials while there, his drive to be the best lawyer he can be and to represent his clients vigorously has always been unsurpassed.

During his years as an undergraduate at Oklahoma Christian University (where he graduated summa cum laude), Mr. Threadgill developed a compassion for others that is not necessarily the norm for lawyers. He was an active member of social service organizations while there, including volunteering to assist the American Red Cross in the aftermath of the 1995 Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing in Oklahoma City.

On his way to becoming a lawyer, he continued to distinguish himself in law school at the University of Houston Law Center. Besides graduating with honors toward the top of his law class, Mr. Threadgill was selected to serve as an articles editor for the Houston Law Review and to become a member of the Order of the Barons.

Mr. Threadgill chose Fort Bend County for his criminal law practice, and as a Fort Bend attorney, he offers legal representation to the people of Sugar Land, Missouri City, Rosenberg, Richmond, Katy and all of Southwest Houston in the areas of DUI / DWI, drug possession, assault and theft / burglary...  Read More
